Welcome to the Highland town of Brora (Scottish Gaelic: Brùra) in the county of Sutherland on the north east coast of northern Scotland. Approximately 60 miles north of the Highland capital city of Inverness.
 
Brora had a population of around 1,140 in the 2001 UK census, estimated at 1,160 by 2006, with 2.02% Gaelic speakers.
 
Brora is fully serviced by a primary school, Brora Primary and Adult Learning Centre, both situated on Johnstone Place. A Public Library on Gower Street, a Police Station at Colbheinn Road, the local Doctors Surgery is on Station Square. A Post Office on Rosslyn Street, Chemists on Victoria Road and a Co-operative food store on Fountain Square.
 
Brora also has a National Rail railway station and a small number of local Churches.
